XP Cyber

The Cyber Workforce Experience Before the Workforce

We deliver students and educators across the United States real-world cybersecurity workforce challenges to enable the next generation cyber workforce. Our battle-tested cyber range and challenges immerse students in complex virtual environments and business scenarios where they complete tasks as in-demand cyber work roles.

An Academic Cyber Range With a Workforce Mission

The XP Cyber Range is an academic cyber range that enables US-based educators to teach and assess their students' cyber skills and workforce readiness for free and year-round. Through the range, educators can infuse our vast catalog of expert-designed cyber workforce challenges into their classes and clubs to give their students the cyber workforce experience before the workforce.

Common Academic Use Cases

Assess Competency & Ensure Workforce Readiness

The XP Cyber Range uses a holistic approach when gathering data for educators to use to assess competency, including automated objective scoring, environment health tracking, and collecting student documentation. By combining hard and soft skill data, educators can confidently determine if a student can competently complete core tasks of in-demand cyber work roles and is ready to enter the cyber workforce.

Realistic Narrative Driven Scenarios

Our challenges start with a real world scenario delivered through a text chat meeting, during which fictional employees will provide critical details and context needed to complete the challenge.

Technical & Soft
Skills Required

To complete our challenges, students will need to utilize their cyber skills and knowledge to identify critical details in the meeting chat, complete complex technical objectives, and clearly document their methods.

No Costly Fees or Complex Installations

The barriers to entry into the cyber workforce are already steep. We are committed to keeping ours low to enable educators to bring more students the experiences they need to be ready to join the US cyber workforce.

Full-Scale Business Environments

Each of our challenges take place in a fictional business environment that includes a cast of employees and a set of servers, services, workstations, and networks that represent part of their enterprise IT network.

EDU Ready Range Feature Set

On the XP Cyber Range, educators can review our challenge catalog, try challenges, onboard students, create and manage assignments, review challenge submissions, and download reports.

Knowledgeable Support at the Ready

On XP Cyber Support Portal, educators can find quick answers to frequently asked questions and consult expert support staff to assist with finding challenges to integrate into classes and other complex issues.
